Guzhang County launches first village livestreaming contest

The first Village Livestreaming Competition as well as the 8th Tea Tourism Culture Festival of Guzhang County kicked off by Qifeng Lake on April 18.

Guzhang is known as the “Hometown of Tea”. The total area of tea gardens in the county reaches 205,000 mu (about 13,666.66 hectares), with an average of over 1.5 mu (about 0.1 hectare) per capita.


 
At the event, internet celebrities such as Shanbai and Xiangxi Dongbao were awarded the honorary certificates of “Guzhang Tea Tourism Culture Publicity Ambassador”.

Seven townships set up eight livestreaming booths for agricultural products and live streamers invited viewers in front of the screen to drink Guzhang tea, appreciate Guzhang scenery, and taste Guzhang specialty cuisine together.


 
In recent years, Guzhang County has made every effort to develop new business formats such as livestreaming e-commerce and held activities like online livestreaming entrepreneurship training and the village livestreaming competition, enhancing the popularity and reputation of well-known local streamers.

This village livestreaming competition will end on April 30, when the Gold Medal Streamer, Most Popular Streamer and Best New Star Streamer will be selected out.

The event aims to explore new ways to help sell agricultural products of the mountainous area, and make more netizens know Guzhang’s picturesque natural scenery and characteristic agricultural products through livestreaming.
